RENNtech Motorsports and Guy Cosmo and Patrick Byrne driving the TORXEN #89 AMG GT 4 took P3 and P2 in class in the season finale of the Pirelli World Challenge GT4 America Sprint X -series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway October 18 - 20, 2019.

Following up on their outstanding performance at Road America, Cosmo and Byrne Qualified P3 and P2 in the Sprint X East class at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Starting Race 1 from P7 overall, Patrick Byrne battled for position and delivered the #89 TORXEN AMG GT 4 to Cos- mo with 32 min left in the race. After a precise pit stop, Cosmo continued to chase the lead gaining 3 positions and crossing the finish line P3 in class.

Starting from Pole position in Race 2 on Sunday, Cosmo was able to grow the lead to 1.3 seconds before bringing the #89 TORXEN AMG GT4 in for a driver change. A missing Pit Lane Board made guess work of the strict 69 second pit-stop rule, costing the Team a full 5 seconds. Returning to track in P4 Byrne drove exceptionally well, gaining one position and crossing the finish line P3 overall and P2 in class.

“The car and team were ready to race for the win here in Vegas. The Pit Lane Board that got blown away by the wind was unfortunate. We had to take a gamble and played it safe, 5 seconds is better than a drive-thru penalty, but it cost us the lead.” Said Hartmut Feyhl.

For the 2019 season RENNtech Motorsports Team took podium finishes at every track entered in the Pirelli World Challenge Series; P2 twice at CoTA, P1 and P2 at Road America, P3 and P2 at Las Vegas.
