Makes HSR Debut in return to competition for 2022 IMSA WeatherTech Championship-winning Acura ARX-05

6 June 2024— Watkins Glen, NY—  RBN Motorsports with Cosmo-Sport  will be back in Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) action this weekend as the series makes the annual pilgrimage to Watkins Glen International for the Historic Sportscar Racing Classic 6 Hour.

The iconic upstate New York facility will play host to a wide range of racing machines that bring decades of legacy to life on the 3.4-mile circuit set at the foot of Lake Seneca.

RBN Motorsports with Cosmo-Sport drivers Bob Neapole and Guy Cosmo will have a full weekend of on-track competition as the duo are set to race in both the HSR Prototype Challenge Presented by IMSA as well as the HSR Classic 6 at the Glen.

The team is looking forward to making the on-track competition debut for the first of the team’s three Acura ARX-05 machines. The No. 60 Acura won the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar championship with Meyer Shank Racing after the team scored victories in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, CTMP, and at the title-deciding Petit LeMans.

RBN Motorsports with Cosmo-Sport has fully prepared the IMSA championship winning car in partnership with HRC and Hudson Historics ahead of the four-day race meeting.

The outing marks yet another significant step for Neapole and his accelerating career, having only taken to the track for the first time in early 2021 for a track day. After gaining experience on board the Porsche Cayman GT4 platform, he moved to take on the legendary Porsche 911 GT3R and then a BMW-powered Daytona Prototype that he’s campaigned with Cosmo in HSR action.

The duo have also combined in the Ligier JS P320 and the Glen weekend will see the duo look to break through with a podium result after opening the season with two fourth-place finishes in the HSR Prototype Challenge Presented by IMSA.
