Promoting First Gear Project at the Indianapolis Grand Prix

As many of you may know, Louisa and I started a new company and have been working diligently to get it off the ground - First Gear Project - a crowdfunding platform dedicated to the automotive & motorsports industries.  Last month we had a weekend off (amazingly) and of course, I decided it would be a great idea to spend it at another race track!  But not just any track... this was Indianapolis Motor Speedway - the mecca of all tracks!

Ferrari 458 Speciale at Ferrari of Palm Beach

Tonight Louisa and I attended the 458 Speciale preview party at Ferrari of Palm Beach.  It was a great night shared with fellow Ferrari enthusiasts, owners and the wonderful staff at our local dealership.  What a great looking car.  I can't wait to drive one!  Here are a few pictures... enjoy!

Driving The 2014 Ferrari 458 Challenge EVO

I recently had the opportunity to test the new Ferrari 458 Challenge EVO at Homestead-Miami Speedway while coaching with my clients at MG-1 Motorsports and Ferrari of San Diego.  What an incredible machine.  The only changes from the existing 458 Challenge is in the bodywork.  The new EVO kit features a GT3-style front bumper with a carbon fiber splitter and a rather large rear wing mounted solidly to the chassis.  The increase in downforce makes the new 458 Challenge EVO another step up from an already impressive race car with added stability & grip in medium to high speed corners, better braking and a 'fun-factor' that's reached new levels.

Thank you, Ferrari, for continually producing vehicles that are 'even better' than the last.

2013 Ferrari World Finals at Mugello Circuit

This week I had the opportunity to work with a client of mine (coaching) at the 2013 Ferrari Challenge World Finals - the 'Finali Mondiali Ferrari' - at Mugello Circuit in Scarperia, Italy.  It was my first visit to 'the mother land', Italy, and hopefully won't be my last.  The event takes place every year in a different location to conclude Ferrari's motorsport season.  It is described by Ferrari like this:

A Visit to the Ferrari Museum, Maranello, Italy

This week I'm somewhere I've dreamed of visiting my entire life - Italy!  I'm here to work with a driver competing in the Ferrari Challenge World Finals at Mugello - yes, I love my job - and decided to make a little vacation of it with my wife, Louisa.

The 2013 Tour de Road America

The 2013 Tour de Road America - BIKE RIDE TO FIGHT CANCER was another hit this year, successfully raising over $26,000.00 for the Austin Hatcher Foundation, Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and LIVESTRONG.  Over $1,000 of that $26k was raised by me, thanks to all of my friends, family and fans who donated on my behalf.

A Lap of Mosport - On Foot!

This week we are North of the border at the BAD-BOY of race tracks in North America - the insanely fast Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (formerly known as Mosport).  This place was built back when men were men, if you know what I'm saying, with huge, sweeping, fast corners and tons of elevation change.  Of all tracks out there, 'CTMP' really separates the men from the boys.
