This week I had the opportunity to work with a client of mine (coaching) at the 2013 Ferrari Challenge World Finals - the 'Finali Mondiali Ferrari' - at Mugello Circuit in Scarperia, Italy. It was my first visit to 'the mother land', Italy, and hopefully won't be my last. The event takes place every year in a different location to conclude Ferrari's motorsport season. It is described by Ferrari like this:
"Imagine a series of races of semi-professional drivers racing the high-performance 458 Challenge, together with shows of historical Formula 1 single-seaters, the sound of the 599 and the FXX, a show on the track with the Scuderia Ferrari and all framed by an exhibition extraordinary historical cars, examples from the current range to touch, entertainment for kids, kart races, simulators, pit stop races and much more! Here is for you: the 2013 Finali Mondiali Ferrari, the event, which for over 20 years has been concluding Ferrari’s motorsport season. An event no Ferrarista can miss. "
The Mugello Circuit was phenomenal - it's location and setting is stunning, the professionalism of the facility second-to-none, and don't get me started on Italy... if at all possible, I'm even more proud to be from Italian heritage!
